FAQ

Green Heat AC FAQ

What is a Ductless Heat Pump System?

A Ductless Heat Pump is a highly efficient heating and cooling system. It is easily installed as a new primary heat source for your home or business.

How do they work?

A heat pump transfers heat using refrigerant expansion and compression within a cycle… What does that mean? It means it takes cold air and makes it warm- and takes warm air and makes it cold, when you want it and where you want it.

Are Ductless Heat Pumps safe?

Ductless Heat Pumps are much safer as well as much quieter than other heating and cooling methods on the market.

Is it really worth the money?

YES! Ductless Heat Pumps can heat and cool homes at a fraction of the cost of other systems. They are more energy efficient than wall heaters, baseboard heaters, propane heat, and even natural gas. Another nice feature of Ductless Heat Pumps is that they do not require expensive and invasive duct work. This also saves the consumer money through product and labor costs.

How do I know if I qualify for a rebate?

If your primary source is electric baseboard or wall heaters and you do not have a natural gas line in your home, you might be eligible for a rebate from your local utility company. Also, homes with forced-air electric heating are eligible in some areas. You should contact your utility company to find out if you qualify.
